“Green
Election Campaign” is a story of young boy, who was a young
enthusiastic soul with a vigilant spirit to bring a change. He believes every
individual is capable enough to bring a positive change, we should be more
concerned about playing our part of role and rest will be fixed eventually.
“Name”
just didn’t limit himself to words only but rather he took an astounding step
by demonstrating his words into actions. On accidentally getting nominated for
elections, Where every other nominee was busy in making false promises and wasting money by
printing posters and other stuff, he took a wise step by putting his efforts in
right direction. He spend his savings in planting trees rather wasting it on
promoting himself. He knew that he’s going to loose as his act is insignificant
to people but still he was concerned to gain a never-ending reward by planting
trees. He selflessly worked for environmental benefits as trees are a source to
provide food and shelter to animals and purify the air.
In
Islam the value of trees is predominantly highlighted, not only in this world
but it’s significance in the hereafter. Prophet Muhammad (SAWW) said:
"There
is none amongst the Muslims who plants a tree or sows seeds, and then a bird,
or a person or an animal eats from it, but is regarded as a charitable gift for
him."
It’s
importance can easily be reflected in this hadith that as a reward, Allah is
granting a date-palm tree in heaven, which shows plants plays an integral role
in our lives and in life after death. We should need to connect with the nature
as they’re living things too.
“Whoever
says: ‘Glory is to Allah, the Magnificent, and with His Praise (Subhan
Allahil-Azim, Wa Bihamdih)’ a date-palm tree is planted for him in
Paradise.”
Planting
is also a depiction of faith as merely they represents signs of Allah. “Name of
the boy” was also portraying his duties
in a way which is something least in the eyes of people but a treasure for
lifetime and an act loveable to Allah.
Election
is a system to choose honest, loyal and trustworthy leaders to provide ease and
comfort in their respective authority to the society but now a days it’s a game
of power, corruption and correspondence of all the evil and unethical acts. A
person lives twice, once in this world and second time in the hereafter. Worldly
life is temporary and other one is eternal, but the most fortunate is the one who
makes deeds which leads him in both the worlds.
